Dear Summer VETS Applicant:

Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into the University of
Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine’s Summer 2017 Veterinary Exploration Through Science
Program (VETS). You were selected from several highly qualified candidates and have been assigned to
Program Week 4 beginning Monday, July 17, 2017. We have planned an exciting schedule which will
include laboratories, lectures and clinic rotations, as well as an entire day at our New Bolton Center. Our
hope is that you will find this program as exciting as we did in developing it for you and that it will
provide you with the opportunity to experience the world of veterinary medicine!

There are several attached documents which require your review and signature. They must be completed
and returned (address on e-mail) with your non-refundable check or money order made payable to the
Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania in the amount of $975.00 by Friday, June 9, 2017.

Also, a scholarship is being offered by our VOICE chapter here at Penn Vet. The scholarship aims to
encourage interest in veterinary medicine amongst minority and underrepresented students by providing
financial assistance to students seeking to learn more about the veterinary profession. All students
accepted to the high school weeks are welcome to apply. For more information on VOICE and the
