Guyana Goldfields INC.

The Aurora Gold Mine is located in the country of Guyana, within the Proterozoic greenstones
of the Guiana Shield which run from El Callao in Venezuela to Amapari in northern Brasil.

Gold was first discovered at Aurora during the Pidgeon Island gold rush of 1911. The Cuyuni
Goldfields Company Ltd extracted approximately 120,000 ounces of gold between 1940 and
1948 from the Aleck Hill and Mad Kiss deposits.

The Rory’s Knoll deposit, which forms the bulk of the current mining operation, was discovered
in 2004 by Guyana Goldfields Inc. (GUY.TO), a Canadian based Mining and Exploration
company. Current reserves are greater than 3 million ounces of gold, within a resource of
more than 8 million ounces of gold.

Construction of the mine commenced in 2014 and commercial production was declared
January 1, 2016.

The Aurora Gold Mine is designed as a 5,000 tonne per day operation with a production rate of
150,000 ounces per year. Construction of the proposed expansion to 8,000 tonnes per day for
approximately 200,000 ounces per year, is currently scheduled to commence in 2017.
