COURSE OVERVIEW
Students will learn to handle real time settings of Business Strategy formulation and
implementation by understanding the business environment.This course is intended to give the
students a holistic view of strategy formulation, content and implementation in firms. Moreover,
they will be able to think beyond day-to-day business activities of firms; analyzing the strategic
threats and opportunities of firms based on firms’ internal capabilities and external
environments, including sustainability issues.

COURSE ASSESSMENT/GRADES
CLASS-MANAGEMENT POLICY
1. Students are expected to be on time. Entry to the class will not be allowed after 15 minutes of
the initiation of the class.
2. If a student misses any session, he/she will be marked “A” (absent).
3. A student is not allowed to leave the class besides the break that will be allotted in between.
4. If a student decides to not attend the rest of the session after coming to the class, she/he will
be marked absent.
5. Class participation (CP) is mandatory for all and carries the most weightage.
6. The first CP feedback will be shared after mid-term exam. CP will not be marked for the first
2 sessions.
7. Final exam grades will be e-mailed to the students. Mid-term exam and quiz grades will be
shared with the students in the class.
8. Students may seek assistance regarding their grades or course at any time during the semester
from their TA.
9. Using cellphones is not allowed during the class. Students are expected to switch off or put
their cell phone on silent mode during the session.
10. Grades will not be changed once allotted.
