ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 30 -- James W. Harris of Cocoa Beach, Fla., has developed first-pass inhibiting compounds.

According to the U.S. Patent &Trademark Office: "Safe, effective first-pass inhibiting compounds and citrus-derived
substances are provided. Formulations containing the compounds are also provided as are methods for inhibiting
the first pass effect."

The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,378,534 on May 27.

The patent has been assigned to Bioavailability Systems LLC, Cocoa Beach.
