Areas of Continued Growth

for Upcoming Year Lakeview's 2018-2019 School Improvement Plan focuses on students’ continued improvement in reading and math. Through
carefully designed learning tasks and targeted assessments, teachers will provide targeted standards based instruction for all
students. Teaching teams will continue to meet monthly to analyze current student data, reflect on instruction and
interventions, and make adjustments for both instruction and intervention for the following month. School staff will continue to
focus on building connections between the grade levels to build on or carry on the skills needed to achieve improvement.

Connection Between School's Work and the Profile of a

Graduate Our school supports the VDOE's vision that all students should acquire the knowledge, skills, experiences and attributes to be
successful in college and/or the work force and to be “life ready.” In particular, this SIP aligns with the VDOE's goal to: Achieve
and apply appropriate academic and technical knowledge (content knowledge).

Rationale for Percentage Point
Increase

The SOL pass rate in 2015-2016 was at 75%. I

believe that this is an attainable number- it will
show staff that we have the capacity to achieve
and that the goal is realistic. The same type of
rationale was used for the special education
category.

The increase in percentage points will

simulate the increase in the pass rates
of the SOL test given at the end of the
year.
