This week I have This week I have really enjoyed filming and making

really enjoyed: my rough assembly as it shows me that I am making

good progress with my project.

The Filmmaker who The filmmaker who has influenced my work this
has most influenced week is Jerk because I was not sure if I would need
my work this week is: to use transitions within my film, so therefore I
looked at other comedies and how they used
transitions. Jerk transitions between scenes using
music.
Two things I have This week I have learned that when it comes to
learnt or directing my camera operator, I need to be more
discovered this week clear on what sort of shot I am looking for. An
are: example of this was when I asked for an over the
shoulder shot, however this turned out to be the
camera directly over the shoulder as if the camera
had been perched on the shoulder, when in fact I
should have had it to the side a little bit as it would
have made for a better shot as the audience’s point
of view would not have been blocked off. I have also
learned how some comedies such as jerk have
transitioned between scenes. This is something I will
look into with other comedies.
The most successful Getting a rough assembly of my film done as I
thing this week was: thought this would take longer due to the fact that it
takes me longer to edit and the filming as although
this was stressful as we were up against time, I
managed to get everything I needed completed.
I am making good I am making good progress with my edit, as I now
progress with: have a rough assembly and will hopefully get
feedback from my target audience on what they think
and how I could improve. This will help me move
forward next week.
I could improve: I could improve my edit, because in my rough
assembly, the conversation does not run as
smoothly because of the way I have had to cut the
 script. To improve this, I should have the next line
being said by a character before they appear on
screen. This is something I have talked about further Reflective Journal- Week
on my website and how I would do this.
Next week I plan to: Next week I plan to improve my rough assembly and Date: 3/5/19
begin to shoot and edit my montage for the
beginning of the film.

I would like more help I would like more help with my rough assembly, as at
with: the minute my conversation feels jumpy dsue to
where I have had to cut it. I havce already talked
about a way to improve this and make it run
smoother. However, this is something I am going to
technically struggle with because of my limited
movement of both limbs.
