FYI
The last day for ‘homework folders’ to be sent
home will be Friday, May 10th. Beginning
Monday, May 13th, I need for everyone to start
sending back any of the Scott Foresman books
you have at home that belong to our classroom.
This will provide enough time for me to collect
all the books before the last day of school.
Thank you so much and I hope you have enjoyed
them!
Parents must pick up all medications
(prescription and over-the-counter) from the
school nurse before the end of the last school
day. Any medications remaining after 12:00 p.m.
on May 22nd will be discarded.

This week’s reading, titled Supporting Early
School Success, is about how schools should
provide a smooth transition between grades by
having a web of support that meets young
children's key developmental needs; including
feeling safe and secure, learning to regulate their
own behavior, and building relationships with
others. I thought this was appropriate since the
end of the school year is fast approaching. The
article is attached to the same email as this
newsletter. It can also be found on our
classroom’s blog (mrssjonesclass.blogspot.com)
on the right side under Suggested Parent
Readings.
NEEDED
The last day for students to check out books
from the library is today! Mrs. Dorman, our
media specialist, needs all books returned by
next Friday, May 10th so that she can complete
our library’s inventory.
Don’t forget about keeping an adequate amount
of money in your child’s lunch account for the
remainder of the year. Any money left at the end
of the year will roll over to next year even if your
child is transferring to another school within
ACS. Thank you!

Don’t forget, in honor of the last 26 days of
kindergarten, we are celebrating each day with
an ABC activity! I’ve attached the list to the
same email as this newsletter. Be sure to take a
