Topic: Businesses should hire employees for their entire lives. Do you agree or
disagree?

Companies around the world always try to get the best staff for them.
Some people think that businesses should hire employees for their entire lives.
However, most of the people consider that is not prudent. From my point of view,
I consider that businesses should not contract people for their entire lives due to
the negative impacts it could cause in their companies.

Competitiveness must have a paramount importance. Firstly,


organizations must hire human resources who can perform duties in a perfect
way. It is a fact that not all people are capable to perform duties appropriately.
Furthermore, companies require people to have knowledge in different areas. To
illustrate, in most of the universities the students are taught how to use programs
and additionally they take different courses in order to increase and improve their
knowledge. That way they have a previous knowledge which help them to learn
how to use new machines or programs that could be required in their jobs what
old workers sometimes cannot since they are not updated. In addition, the
knowledge that you could be fired if your performance is bad make workers want
to highlight and work harder and harder. This is undoubtedly true since most
people work better under pressure. Job security has an obvious disadvantage to
motivate workers. Therefore, the more competitive is a job environment, the
better impacts get the company due to not all people can perform duties
appropriately, companies require technological knowledge and job security often
demotivate workers.

Efficiency is another important aspect to consider. At first, by hiring


new personnel you bring new ideas and fresh minds into the corporation. It is
certain that most of the new professionals have fresh ideas and all the motivation
and energy to work in any job so fresh blood keeps the company going towards
achieving more profits. Moreover, rejuvenating new employees helps the
company from many perspectives. To illustrate, it is not a wise choice for the
development of a company and for the society not to hire new professionals since
it will cause a rise in unemployment that will cause a crisis in the society also the
company could not fire bad employees and that will reduce the efficiency of the
company. In addition, by eliminating people who are no longer needed, you fill
your company with good workers with greater capacity. It is a fact that the better
workers, the better for the company. For all these reasons, in order to improve
the efficiency a company must hire personnel for a limited time that way it will
bring new ideas, fresh blood, more motivation and energy and by eliminating bad
workers the company will be more productive.

For organizations getting high profits is the most important. Bad


attitudes of current workers lead to decreased productivity for companies. It is a
fact that a person who does not love his job would not be able to perform it
appropriately. Furthermore, doing the same thing for the entire life will reduce the
creativity and the qualification of the personnel so the passion and enthusiasm
will decrease. They getting bored and become lazier which will reduce
productivity. In addition, young professionals are paid less money than older
workers. To illustrate, young professionals in oil engineering are paid between 20
to 30% of an older worker salary in the first year. Therefore, in order to continue
getting high profits a company must hire employees with a limited time that way
productivity and enthusiasm would not be affected and companies can save a
considerable amount of money by hiring new young professionals.

All in all, companies should hire people for a limited time in order to
achieve an improvement in efficiency, high competitiveness and considerable
savings. For all these reasons, I sincerely think that in order to take the company
to the next level people must not have a prolonged and undefined job.
