impacts of the TPE’s in assisting teachers as they focus on becoming better in their field. We
made valid points, but two that really stood out to me were TPE 6, Element 1 and TPE 6,
Element 5 (CTPE). I did not reflect during my first year of teaching as much as I would of liked.
It was challenging and difficult as I was trying to keep my head above water. TPE 6.1 was
discussed in our group and I began to understand the power of reflection (CTPE). We were
doing it throughout that assignment. We also connected it with TPE 6.5 as we learned how it is
our professional responsibility to not only strive for improvement through reflection, but use
this reflection to impact the learning for all students (CTPE). This conversation was inspiring as
our passion for students and teaching helped me to better understand my responsibility as a
teacher.

risks to find the best avenues that can best improve all my students. As I think about inspiring
my students, I know that motivation and dedication will affect them greatly. They will see daily
