Theory Application
Diego is a 12th grader who feels pressure from his parents to become a
pediatrician. He does not know what other career options are available and has
not made an effort to seek help or support from his school counselor. He is afraid
to disappoint his parents by not fulfilling their desires and does not want to make
an effort to talk to them about other career options.

According to Savickas, what dimension does Diego fall under?

As a school counselor, how would you guide Diego to follow his career choice?
