INTRODUCTION

Slickline is a thin cable introduced into a well to deliver and retrieve tools downhole. It
used to place and recover wellbore equipment, such as plugs, gauges and valves. At
Songosongo, Slickline operations began in 2004 and had been carried out twice each
year. The main purpose of these operations is to deriver temperature and pressure
recording gauges downhole and retrieve them after six month to determine the
performance of the wells.
