Name of the Student: Advisor: Title of Artifact: Enoch Bayan Ms. Carter Algebra 2 Student Artifact Reflection #3 Use this template for collecting and organizing our thoughts so you can write a well developed and detailed rt Introduce and contextualize the artifact, 1. Describe the assignmentiproject: Finding Zeros of a Polynomial Function What was the task that you were asked to do? Ihave to do a list of all the possible rational zeros. Then I picked any rational number, and | had to do a test using synthetic division until a zero is found. Each time | do not get a zero that number is eliminated. Sometimes there are 10 different rational numbers that | have to check. ‘Once | find out what the zeros are then those are my solutions to the problem, What were the concepts that you were supposed to learn? 1 was supposed to learn how to test the values using synthetic division until a zero is found. Then | had to factor for the binomial using the results of the synthetic division. What were the steps you took to complete the assignment? | focused on work to do the rational root theorem and finding zeros of a polynomial function because it required a lot of solving to find the right answer. Also, in a group, we helped each other to problem solve . Analyze the artifact 2. What category does this artifact represent (i ‘engagement, etc.)? This artifact represents problem solving in finding zeros of polynomial functions to show your work. analysis, problem solving, community How do you define the category above? Problem Solving has a higher-order cognitive process and intellectual function that requires the modulation and control of more routine or fundamental skills. How does this category relate to your artifact? This problem solving relates to my artifact because | show all of my work, and | used my skills to solve the problem to find the right answer.
