INTRODUCTION
Our body depends on food for energy to do
work and stay healthy.We also need food to
grow.Food can be divided into seven classes
Carbohydrates:
It are organic compounds made up of the elements
carbon,hydrogen and oxygen.Carbohydrate supply most
of the energy our body needs.
Protein:
Protein are needed for growth and the repair of body
tissues
Fats:
Fat is stored under the skin or around organs in our
body.It helps to keep us warms.Fat helps to transport
vitamins A,D,E and K.
Vitamins:
Vitamins are organic compound needed in small
amounts by our body for health and growth.
OBJECTIVE

To identify (analyse) 7 classes of food

7 classes of food:

• Carbohydrate
• Protein
• Fat
• Mineral salts
• Vitamins
• Dietary fiber (roughage)
