Location recce – Donna’s house
Type of room/area: kitchen,
Lighting Information:
All the rooms that I’m filming in have at least
one large window which will allow a lot of
natural light into as well as this they all have a
form of artificial light if that’s a mains light or a
plug-in lamp.
Sound Information:
The area in generally quite quiet, there is a
bus that goes around every hour but when
inside it’s hard to hear it so that shouldn’t be a
problem. There are 2 dogs and 2 cats which
could cause some noise during filming.
Power Information:
All the rooms I plan on filming in have access
to a mains supply which will allow me to plug
in any external lights or chargers for
equipment.
Hazards:
The animals could pose as a tripping hazard
as they tend to stand under people’s feet as
well as this when filming in a kitchen there
could be wet surfaces which needs to be
kept away from electrical equipment.

Solutions:
Depending on the time of day that I want
the scene to be set and I time I film will
depend on the amount of light I want in
shot but I have a lot of leigh way to add or
take away light.
Solutions:
When filming inside make sure that no extra
sounds are playing such as the radio or tv
and if the animals are making noise move
them to another room so they can’t be
heard.
Solutions:
To save time make sure that all equipment
is charged before going and filming as well
as this bring extra batteries for equipment
that’s battery doesn’t last long in case
filming takes longer than expected.
Solutions:
Make sure animals are out the way when
filming to reduce the tripping risk. When
filming in the kitchen make sure you’ve
checked for spillages before filming.
