Abstract
Sago palm is a tropical plant that are often found in District East Indonesia as Papua,
Ambon, and South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and West Sulawesi Province, and at
the same time them utilized starch of sago for consumption as the main carbohydrate
source other than rice, corn and cassava. In that decaying sago palm trunk, we can be
find sago worm (Rhinchoporus ferrugineus) that living there after sago palm weevil life
cycle 30-45 days after the trunk is cut, started after egg then first until sixth instar larva
stage. Sago worm contain high protein, amino acid, fat acid, vitamin A, zinc,
carbohydrate, water, that can be used as food alternative from insect for the future.
