My name is ______ and I am with the marketing department at Ooligan Press.

We are excited to
announce the upcoming May release of The Wax Bullet War: Chronicles of a Soldier & Artist by Sean
Davis: a poignant, thought-provoking memoir about the place where war, art, destruction, and healing
meet.

The Wax Bullet War follows Sean Davis, a soldier and artist, from defeat to tragedy to redemption. Sean,
an Army veteran, finds himself in a dead-end government job after dropping out of the Art Institute of
Portland. He enlists with the National Guard the day after the events of September 11th. Four months
after deploying to Iraq, an ambush kills a good friend and leaves Sean critically wounded. Upon his return
to Portland, he nearly loses himself to drugs, alcohol, and depression before finding the strength to put
his life back together.

Sean decided to tell his story for veterans who need a compassionate voice and for their friends and
families who want to understand the combat experience and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). His
story is an honest, unbiased look at the long term effects of war and how art can save a broken soul.
