What is Kenisio Tape?

o Thin stretchy fabric, backed with adhesive made from hypoallergenic, medical grace acrylic.
o Colorful, comfortable, non-irritating, and latex free.

How Does it Work?

Technique
o Applied either directly over the affected
joint/muscle group or around its borders.
o Unlike rigid tapes, it will provide support
and pain relief while permitting a natural,
safe range of motion.
o Most can be worn 3-5 days, despite
activity, bathing or swimming.
o Therapeutic benefits accumulate over the
entire time the tape is worn.
o When the tape is applied, the elasticity of the
tape gently lifts the skin, creating microscopic
space between the skin and the tissues below,
with alternating negative and positive pressure
areas.
o The negative pressure areas allow dilation and
lymphatic drainage of excess fluid away from the
area, reducing pressure on blood vessels and pain
receptors.
o Blood flow improves and increases oxygen and
nutrient delivery to the area.

-Do not apply tape over damaged skin,
