Abstract. The practice began by differentiating the names of the parts of the
microscope and their corresponding functions, the care they needed to keep
the instrument intact from damage and that the results in the experimentation
were the most adequate; After doing this, the materials are prepared for
microscopic observation. The first practice was made with the composite
microscope in which in the middle of the slide printed letters are placed at the
smallest font size (Arial 8), as well as a strand of yarn and a hair, observing
them in the different objectives and increases, it is necessary to emphasize
that in the magnification X100 of the microscope a drop of immersion liquid is
applied to put the coverslip on the preparation, soon the preparation is placed
on the platinum of suitable form, and with the help of macro and micrometric
screws; the approach was made taking into account that we started with the
objective of lower increase until the objective of greater. The second
observation was made using the stereoscope microscope in which insects
(tick, lice and wasp) were placed on the slide, the focus, illumination and
eyepieces were adjusted correctly, the insects moved from left to right, the
results were observed and discussed.

Conclusiones
El microscopio óptico ha sido una
herramienta básica para el desarrollo de
muchas areas relacionadas con la
biología y sigue siendo un instrumento
muy útil en la investigación de la
microbiología y sus areas derivadas. Se
utilizan en la actualidad varios tipos de
microscopios los cuales presentan
formas de utilización similares pero con
objetivos y aumentos más potentes
según sea el caso.
