This initiative emerges in order to use adequately the new Technologies of the
Information and the Communication TIC´S donated for the Ministry of National
Education, and the local authorities to the schools of our country, in an interactive
and attractive way with playful and practical environments where the students of
the basic primary education of the Educational Institution Internado Escolar
Rural Solita can develop their skills listening, speaking, writing and reading skills
using audio-visual resources found in the Technology and Computer class room,
(recorder, video beam, computers), to reach a high social, cultural and cognitive
development through the foreign language acquisition.
Day after day children in their eagerness of exploring the planet, children show a
great interest in using personal, laptop and tablet computers, which are in the room
"saved" aid in the school and the municipal public library. These technological
elements have an interesting educative software for being used in our classes, for
example: the digital resource “Bunny Bonita" digital resource where a cute and
funny "bunny" with his friend "carrot" teaches through several chapters of one
minute each one of the communicative English skills for children, with situations
that can happen to any child in elementary school.
Finally, there is a digital online resource "Duolingo" where there are lessons for
students, easy to manage with practical exercises, to speak, listen to, read and
write in English, with short dialogues, homework, travel situations, words and
phrases used in restaurants, banks, supermarkets, airports, etc… this software

indicates the time taken by student in a lesson, showing their strengths and
weaknesses, and corrects if there is a pronunciation mistake, in writing a word or
phrase. This application can be downloaded over the network and used in different
students’ cell phones for a good use of free time.
At last, it is important to mention new digital tools presented in the current world
increasingly more "globalized” is the first step and the biggest in the creation of an
"English Room" in this place, "far on the map but about knowledge" to continue
developing creativity, abilities and skills proper in students’ school age; to improve
competent levels proposed by the Common European Framework as Reference
in all schools in the country.
