Re: WARN Act Notice: Union Pacific Hinkle Yard

In an effort to provide for Union Pacific's long-term success, the railroad has been accelerating its
continuous improvement plan and implementing Precision Scheduled Railroading principles. As a
continuation of our efforts to run an efficient railroad consistent with our Unified Plan 2020 program, we
are undertaking operational changes across our system. As a result of these operational changes, we
have concluded that as many as 195 positions will be abolished at Union Pacific's Hinkle Yard and its
Supply Warehouse and IVIechanical Locomotive Shop. Therefore, Union Pacific is providing you this
notice in accordance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act.

Employees will be laid-off but operations will continue at the following site:
Hinkle Yard

Union Pacific will cease all operations at the following sites;

Supply Warehouse

3. It Is expected that the elimination of these positions at the Hinkle Yard and Supply
Warehouse will be permanent.

4. It is expected that affected employees will be laid off commencing on May 21, 2019, but
no later than July 19,2019.

 5. • Affected employees will have the right to bid and bump in accordance with the seniority
rights granted to them in the applicable coliective bargaining agreements, All employees
who are unable to obtain a position and who are laid off will be paid a!! wages and agreed
upon fringe benefits for 60 days after the date of this notice.
