BOOKS OR EBOOKS

We all are university student and we have to purchase a lot of

textbooks but with the availability of E books it would be a great
alternative to the traditional textbooks. eBooks have definitely made
a huge difference in common peoples life all over, be it
convenience, such as relating to the options provided in it which
are of course similar to paper books – readers can bookmark
pages, make notes, highlight passages, and save selected text. In
addition to these familiar possibilities, eBook readers also include
built-in dictionaries, and alterable font sizes and styles. Typically,
an eBook reader hand-held device weighs from about twenty-two
pounces to three or four pounds and can store from four thousand
to over half a million pages of text and graphics. A popular feature
is its back-lit screen (which makes reading in the dark possible).
Some eBooks can be downloaded for free or at reduced cost.
Text books are a hazel for quite few reason, they are hard to carry
around from class to class as they are quite bulky and hard to store as it
takes a lot of space to place all books but with eBooks you can carry
the whole library with yourself wherever we go and will save a lot of
storage space as our bookshelf can be located on a small hand held
device.

eBooks are often cheaper in the long run because there are no printing
fees associated with them. In fact, you can often find free eBooks online,
whereas physical books almost always cost you something. Another
problem is that when you buy an eBook, your reward is instantaneous.
Whereas if you order a book online you have to wait for it to arrive
before the fun begin.
Traditional books results in deforestation and affecting climate and also
damaging our planet Earth. One traditional books requires the
demolition of trees for paper. According to the Australian Burea of
Agricultural and Resource Economics and Science (ABARES), on
average we use 1.63 million tones o paper for newspaper and books
yearly. If we switched to eBooks, we can save at least one-third the
amount of paper consumed. Another liability traditional books possess is
the involvement of the difficult, wasteful and greenhouse gas polluting
procedures of shipping . Shipping accounts for 12% of marine pollution
caused by human activity. When we transport shipment, we are
condemning ourselves to travel across seas with the risk of noxious
hazardous oil leakage that can destroy marine life. Switching to eBooks
can eliminate this occurance, and the long term we will also be
benefitted by healthier environment.

E books are an alternative, all e books can be stored on a single device

for example smartphone, tablet and laptops. The e books are much
better for environment as they do not use paper.Understanding how e
books can be a better choice will help environment and problems cause
by text books and switching to e books can save us all that problems
and most important of all money
