My Biggest Influence

What adult has had a positive influence in my life? What adult do I appreciate the most?

Very simple questions but yet very difficult to answer. In the past four years i've had many adults

come into my life and make a big difference in it and make me see life through a new

perspective. Some of these adults come and go out of your life but leave a big mark behind, if I

had to choose one i’d choose my mom.

Someone who has been there not only the past 4 years but my entire life is my mom.

Having to explain how my life would be without her is tricky because I don’t know life without

her. She has been my biggest influence and motivation throughout these four years. High school

can be a rough path where you experience a rollercoaster of emotions and if you don’t hold on

tight or have someone with you to hold your hand through it all you could fall. My mom became

my best friend, my coach, my biggest supporter and number one fan. There are no words to

describe how affectionate she is, her warmth and affection are two big factors that helped me get

through the rough times in high school. Despite her soft side she has a hard and down to earth

side, which is what keeps me motivated and makes me the ambitious person I am and was

throughout these four years. She will continue to influence and impact my future not only with

the qualities that she holds but all the sacrifices she has made as well. Growing up my mom had

to provide for the family soon after my dad got into a car accident leaving him disabled, she had

to raise five children practically by herself. This will continue to influence me and future by

being as hardworking and determined as she was. I can say that her biggest quality is how

independent she is and that's what she influenced me to be.
