Indonesia signs LoI with Switzerland on vocational education
Jakarta (JP) – Indonesia and Switzerland signed a letter of intent (LoI) for cooperation to
strengthen Indonesia’s vocational education system. The cooperation will come under a
dual education-and-training system.
Switzerland Ambassador to Indonesia Yvonne Baumann said the dual system would
help students combine learning processes at school and in the workplace.
“Switzerland has consistently ranked among the world’s most competitive economies
and has one of the lowest rates of youth unemployment in the world,” she said after the
LoI signing with the Industry Ministry in Mojokerto, East Java, on Tuesday.
In addition to signing the LoI, the two parties are also seeking to assist a certain
manufacturing sector and link it with vocational schools (SMK).
The embassy has stated that to enhance bilateral relations with Indonesia Switzerland
has allocated 75 million Swiss Franc (US$74.36 million) for various development
 projects in the 2017-2020 periods. The funds will be allocated for private sector
development, infrastructure, trade, and macroeconomics assistance.
Meanwhile, earlier on Tuesday, the Industry Ministry launched a demand-driven
vocational program named "Link and Match" in Mojokerto to address the lack of skilled
workers which has been a big problem that hampers the development of some

Synopsis

On the run in the year of 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small
Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18
and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred
and broken.

Review

As civil war ravages the alien planet Cybertron – home to the Autobots and
Decepticons, Bumblebee is tasked with escaping to Earth in an attempt to
provide refuge to the Autobots. However, he loses his memory along the way
and ends up in a garage in San Francisco. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), is
struggling with the demise of her father as she turns 18 and decides to gift
herself a car when she encounters Bumblebee. Little does she know that he’s
on a mission and she is soon thrown into the thick of a battle for supremacy.

Director Travis Knight focuses on Charlie and her relationship with Bumblebee.
The alien robot is childlike in his mannerisms, and some of the best scenes
involve the two getting to know each other. Set in the '80s, the soundtrack
anchors the story-line especially since Bumblebee communicates mainly
through a mixture of various sound clips. Hailee Steinfeld provides the essential
human factor sorely lacking in the franchise so far. She’s far from eye -candy
as Charlie tries to find her own identity while dealing with grief. John Cena as
Agent Burns is effectively menacing but doesn’t add much other than a
standard, disruptive authoritative figure with a bone to pick.

The 'Transformers' franchise has became synonymous with Michael Bay’s

trademark bombastic action mayhem which bordered on the verge of being
obnoxious, and often migraine-inducing. 'Bumblebee' immediately sets itself
apart from that approach, aiming towards a character-driven narrative rather
than chaotic set-pieces that stumble over themselves as things go boom. This
isn’t to say the action is lacking – far from it! The fight sequences are easy to
follow, and the CGI is practically seamless. Despite all the major plot points
being typically predictable, credit is due to Travis Knight for achieving what
one deemed impossible – erasing pretty much all memory of this film's
problematic predecessors. 'Bumblebee' is certainly the best example of what
this franchise is meant to be, and should it continue this path, the Transformers

witness(es) and the source person and use past tenses. Using prepositional
phrases to state the circumstances briefly will help the readers understand the
news. Using clause will make our sentence in news report will be more
attractive.
As a text, the caption is used to explain or elaborate on published
photograph, by describing the photograph, giving context, or relating it to the
article. This can make the article more interesting to read. A good caption
must be regarded by the process of the event briefly, the participants in the
process and to make it easy understood we should put the circumstances of
the process: mostly of place and time, providing context to the picture by
using complete sentences and use of Simple Present Tense in the main
sentence, Simple Past Tense in the following sentences.
Advertisement is a short interesting functional text. The Social Function of
this text is to persuade listeners or readers to buy or to use the product or
services being advertised or to convince products, services, or events to the
public. A good ad should be clear in a purpose which built the advertisement,
product names and the target readers. Besides, Coinage will make ad more
interesting because coined words make lively and eye-catching.
