The foregoing service credits maybe used and applied for the following order of preference

1. To offset any absence on the account of illness of the teacher in accordance with Section 358 of the
Revised Service Manual.
2. To offset any absence of teacher due to illness or death of any member of his/her immediate family in
accordance with General Circular No. 6 s. 1969
3. The term member of the immediate family has been construed to include any Relative living under the
same roof and dependent upon the teacher support
4. C.S. Form 6, Form 41 (medical certificate) and other supporting papers such as Death Certificate of the
deceased relative should accompany request for use of Service Credits to offset any absences due to any
of the above reasons.
