1. A continuing pattern of late arrival to your duty day despite a Verbal Reprimand on
April 13, 2018 and a Written Reprimand issued on May 8, 2018. During the period September
11, 2018 through November 30, 2018 you arrived late on 32 days.
2. You violated the directives in the Verbal Reprimand and in the May 8, 2018 Written
Reprimand to (a) “be at school ready to work by the start of the basic duty day” and (b) “if you
would need to be late in the future, you must communicate that ahead of time and obtain
permission to use flex time”.
1. You must report to work at 7:30 a.m., unless you have advance permission from me
to arrive late. If you experience an unanticipated emergency which makes it impossible for you to
comply with this directive, you must inform me as soon as possible that you are not able to report
to work on time; and in that case you may be asked for documentation of the emergency.
2. If you are late for any reason you must report your tardiness to me on the same
day, including the specific time you arrived to work. If I am not available in person or by
telephone, you are expected to send me an email.
3. You may not unilaterally use flex time. You are required to have advance
permission from me, which will include a specific plan to make up the time.
4. You must not retaliate against any individual who has been involved in addressing
the concerns about your conduct.
5. You may not discuss this letter, the directives in the letter, or your private personnel
issues with students, parents, or staff, other than your Union representatives.

Your misconduct has been persistent despite previous discipline, and your failure to comply with
directives is insubordination. You must immediately correct the deficiencies in your conduct and
comply with the directives set forth in this letter and any other supervisory directives given to you.

to terminate your employment pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 122A.40.
