Cracked Tusk Keep Starter 2017

I'm ShamanReaper57 and this is my latest Skyrim GameSave, Cracked Tusk Keep Starter 2017. I
created this GameSave using the PC version of Skyrim only using Keyboard Commands and using
only whats available in Vanilla Skyrim so this is not a Modded Save using the Creation Kit. So in
theory as you progress through the game you will get all of the normal Achievements and
gameplay stats and not be restricted as with when you use Modded saves. I created this Save
using Cracked Tusk Keep because it had alot of stuff going for it from the beginning. Smithing
area, Alchemy Station, Walls, Towers, Mutiple levels, Storage Containers and just a great place
and location to hang out in the beginning of the Game. My vision for the Save was to create a
place for a new Character to use as a Home, have plenty of Safe Storage, have plenty of supplies
and materials available to encourage Crafting and Smithing straight away, have gold stocks
available, provide plenty of areas to explore and discover useful items, and make it fun to get
straight into the Game.

From previous experience and personal preference I restrained myself from supplying high value
items because I feel that having every item in the game and playing in God mode all of the time
gets boring. I love the adventuring, exploration and fighting for what you want which makes the
game more interesting. At the same time I also wanted to cut down on the hard slog of gathering
ingredients, fast travelling hundreds of times and swinging tools for hours to get materials. So I
have supplied alot of these items to get the show on the road. You choose and create your own
Character as soon as you enter Cracked Tusk Keep. Your starter character will start at level 3,
basic stats, blank inventory wearing, well not much. I have given the character 1000 Carry
Weight to start with and some extra perk points. Once you get inside Cracked Tusk Keep,
everything else will be yours to find and keep. This Save is about the Power of Choice so it's up to
you to have fun choosing what you want to do.

My Save starts at the front door of Cracked Tusk Keep. You have already escaped Helgen and
your new starting point will be at Cracked Tusk Keep after you have sorted your Character,
armored up, grabbed weapons and supplies, explored the Keep and are ready to go. The rest of
the game remains the same, go to Riverwood then make your way to Whiterun. Or you may just
want to hang around the Keep and do some Crafting or Smithing and create a better equipped
"Super Character", which is quite possible. No limitations! Once you enter Cracked Tusk Keep
you will get the Character Race Menu. Choose, create and name your Character and you are
ready to check out the Keep.

You may want some clothes straight away so head up the steps past the food table and into the
next room. You will see some wardrobes, explore these for Armor, Weapons, Mage Clothing and
other assorted clothing and jewelry. You won't find any really good items yet as the Keep is a
Starter only, although if you do some further exploring you may find some better items in other
places in and around the Keep. Instead of writing a novel, I will just outline what else makes up
my Cracked Tusk Keep Save.

NOTES: A couple of things before you start - Note1 When you return from any of the load doors
that I have set up, you will normally end up at the front door (inside) and sometimes you will feel
like you are in a fog or falling (nothing to worry about, just what happens when you set up doors
using keyboard commands). They still work. Note2 Be sure to search ALL containers, even a sack
on the floor, it might be filled with heaps of Gold. And search the hollow trees and boulders.

--- Here's what you will find inside Cracked Tusk Keep ---

Entrance: Shrines & Amulets

Raised Level Area: Food & Drink - All Books, Skill Books, Tomes and Scrolls

Fireplace Area: Wardrobes & Containers for Armor, Weapons, Clothing & Jewelry - Floor Door to
Pre-Fab Area (weapons, racks and more storage plus some dummies - only one weapons rack
works) - A Skyrim Wall Map with working doors that take you to specific areas (more about this
Map later) - Ladder to outside area af Keep

Bedroom: Bed, shelving, chest, safe and misc items

First Stairwell: At the Top, you will see a ladder to the Old Pelagius Wing (which is an abondoned
and unused area only used for exploring and as a transition point back to Cracked Tusk Keep and
to a Ship located next to Bleakwind Basin) - at the base of the stairwell you will find the
Enchanting Area and an Alchemy Table complete with materials and misc items required for
crafting. Special "Note", you will find a Chest filled with enchanted items and they are intended
to be used for Disenchanting! But it's up to you, use some of the items for awhile or just
disenchant them (recommended) and make your own more powerful items. You will also find a
collection of special jewelry and clothing items to wear to raise your crafting levels to give you a
head start. Just to let you know, the stories are true about wearing a Falmer Helmet with a circlet
at the same time. If you find them, give it a try. Continuing down the next stairwell takes you to
the door to the Vault. To the right is a door called Dreamworld. Inside is a small interior filled
with Vampire items as well as some Dawnguard stuff. Sorry, I didn't think to put any Werewolf
stuff in it.

The Vault: At the top of the stairwell you will see a Ladder and that goes to a interior called
Pavos. This is a dual level small house interior just used for more storage, sleeping and hanging
out - The Vault area is filled with rooms of containers and shelves full of misc items. The floor is
littered with misc items also. You will also find a set of doors going to a place called Magic Visuals
which is a mismash of weird stuff plus a few interesting items. Be sure to explore the House
within, I'm sure you'll find it - There are another set of doors going to The Warehouse Traps
which is where you go to experience avoiding traps, or getting smashed by them. The Argonian
at the beginning will reset all traps if you ask him (not fully tested). The exit door should be right
next to the Argonian - Lastly there is a pedistal at the end of the Vault and I recommend leaving
alone until you get the Quest "Pieces of the Past" to gather all the pieces of Mehunes Razor.
Picking up the shards from the Vault may jinx the Quest.

The Skyrim Wall Map: A map of Skyrim on the wall where the Fireplace area is. It is filled with
various doors which will take you to the Areas listed below. (Notes - with the exception of the
Door going to Helgen, all return doors are marked with 2 (4-burner goat horn lamps) on each
side of the door as well as a long chest at the base of the door. I recommend that once that you
go through the Wall Map door, turn around at the other end to see where to return. You can also
just fast travel back to the Keep. Not every door lands you at the front gate of a Hold or town.
Each Wall Map door is as close as possible to that area as located to on the Map (ie - Whiterun
next to Whiterun). Some areas are special such as Sinderions which is located in Blackreach. You
may wonder about the Doors that I have removed from some areas like Frukis door to his house
in Dawnstar. Before I took the door I checked to see if he was Quest related and he's not as far as
I can tell. So I wasn't too worried about him getting back into his house. Same with the other
Doors that I have "borrowed". I've tried to make sure that they didn't glitch anything before I
used them. If you find any problems, please let me know. Although, this not being a Mod I can't
just send out a update, I can only fix it for a restart. The trade off for not being a Mod.

--- Here's where the doors will take you---

Solitude: Next to Proudspire Manor

Markarth: Just inside of the Silverblood Inn

Morthal: Just outside of the Thaumaturgists House (Alchemist)

Falkreath: Just outside of the Gray Pine Goods

Riverwood: Just outside of the Riverwood Trader

Helgen: Inside of the Helgen Area (You will be attacked by Bandits straight away so be prepared)
*Also, this is a one way door only - You will have to fast travel back to Cracked Tusk Keep

Whiterun: Just outside of Arcadias Cauldron (Alchemist)

Riften: Just inside of the Balcony just above the Riften Stables area - Alot going on here, lots of
containers and a ladder to the roof which takes you into a Riften Ghost town - I'll spoil it if I tell
you whats in it. NOTE: If you find yourself "stuck" at any time after you have gone over the roof,
Fast Travel back to Riften Stables

Windhelm: Just outside of the Candlehearth Inn *Just a NOTE with Windhelm, I believe that you
actually have to go in and out of the front gate at least three times to initiate the Blood on the
Ice Quests. I could be wrong, check out other sources to see if that's correct. The Blood on The
Ice has also caused me some grief, may you have better luck.

Winterhold: Just outside of the Birna's Oddments (Store)

Dawnstar: Just outside of Fruki's House near the Ship

Blackreach: Inside of Sinderions Lab which is inside of Blackreach

Solsthiem: Inside of the Abandoned House in Raven Rock, Solsthiem NOTE: The House has been
set up for safe storage and you can use it as a Temp House when starting Dragonborn. It has
crafting gear and materials inside and there is a chest near the Blacksmith full of materials for
you to use. (Right hand side of the Smelter)

--- Here's what you will find in the Outside of Cracked Tusk Keep ---

Smelter: plus a Barrel filled with Ores

Forge: Standard Forge

WorkBench: plus a Chest filled with smithing materials

Tanning Rack: plus a Barrel filled with pelts and hides

Wood Chopping Block: plus a Barrel filled with wood

Smithing Storage Area: storage Chests and a Strongbox with special clothing and jewelry

Hearthfire Chest: supplies ready for building Hearthfires homes

Tool Chest: filled with misc tools

Cooking Hut: a spit and all cooking stuff

Guard Towers: plus a chest filled with bows and arrows for target practise and your own use

Misc Chests: filled with Gold and other random items

Orb Strongboxes: just below each colored glowing Orb (Red, Green, electric Blue) filled with
good stuff

Hollow Trees: Gold

Hollow Boulders: More Gold and sometimes random items

Cracked Tusk Keep Tower: Climb the wooden stairs to the top of the hill and you will find a
Tower. Make your way up the Tower and at the top you can go one of two ways. The Doors will
take you into the abandoned Pelagius Wing which is full of cobwebs but interesting to explore. In
here you will also find two other Doors, one going back to Cracked Tusk Keep and the other
going to a abandoned Ship near Whiterun. The other pathway is up, look up when you are
standing by the Tower Door and you will see a Blue Glowing Orb. Click on one of the legs of the
Chair (which is sticking out of the ceiling) after it says "sit chair" and this will transport you up to
the top of the tower. Move your control stick forward to get out of the chair and look up for the
next Blue Glowing Orb and do the same as before. This will take you to the next platform. Get
out of the chair and have a look around, you are now on the middle level of the Tower and are
surrounded by some very large Display Cases. Explore the Display Cases by clicking on the chairs
with the Green Glowing Orbs (sit chair). Once inside the Display Case you can explore the
containers which will be filled with Potions, Armor and Weapons. To get out, click on the chairs
with the Red Glowing Orbs (sit chair).

This is the fun but tricky part, getting to the Top Level. My video on YouTube gives you a better
idea of how to get to the top but I will explain it here. Go up the small steps and click on the
"close display case" . When the lid is down jump on top of it and walk over to the edge just
above the chest. Position yourself so that your right side is towards the edge of the lid. Looking
down engage the "open display case" and at the same time move your body left following the lid
as it goes up. Hopefully you will land on the Top Level. If not just keep practising. Once on the
Top Level enjoy the view, check the containers, have a seat and read a book. I did have a match
the pairs card game but it is not working after converting PC save to XBox save. Getting down is
alot simpler just close the display case lid and jump down onto the lid. Go back to the middle
level and click on the chairs with the Gold Glowing Orbs to go down a level. Once back in the
Tower, you can fast travel back to the Keep, or go through the Doors and take the door back to
Cracked Tusk Keep or go to the Ship. Or you can just hoof it back down the steps. The Ship
located near Whiterun is empty except for a few chests. There are No Doors back to the Keep so
you'll have to Fast Travel. You can get off of the ship by going into it and down through a hole on
the inside. Just beware of the Giants at the Giants Camp nearby and this area also has Sabre
Cats, be ready to fight if you walk around. Be sure to SAVE.

Final Notes: I have hidden a Door and some other Containers away just in case I needed some
items that as the save creator I would need while I was making the gamesave. They are still
around and if you can find them well you will be really lucky. The Door leads to a room of
legendary proportions.

Important: I nearly forgot, there are also 2 more Save Race Menus (to change your race) located
in the Cellar of Anises Cabin and the unused Warehouse at the Windhelm Docks area. Please
note that if you change your Race completely, you may reset your stats to a lower level. Again
remember to SAVE before making any major changes.

Thank You for trying out my gamesave and I hope you will like it.
