Project Title: Smart Watch Fitness Tracker

Introduction:
Smart watches give people lightweight and immediate access to messages, notifications, and
other digital data. Smart watches are powerful as standalone devices, the capabilities of smart
watches increase significantly when used in tandem with other devices that people carry, such
as their phones or tablets, which allows for device inter-action techniques.

Although most smart watch models manufactured recently are completely functional as
standalone products, many of the devices that are manufactured now are required to be paired
with a mobile phone running the same operating system, this allows the watch to run not only
as a watch but a remote to the phone. This allows the device to alert the user to
communication data such as calls, SMS messages, emails, and calendar invites.

Relation to Internet of Things (IOT):


Wearable devices are the most visible consumer (IOT) technology. IOT refer to electronic
devices that can be connected through internet networks. We found that people who are using
wearable device, such as smart watch and fitness tracker, connect them to their smartphones
and laptop, and can enable them to search for their photos and even slides for studying
materials, calling and answer calls. It also relates to IOT as the smart watch fitness tracker
monitors the heart rate, blood pressure and step-count distance of a person.
Target Market:

1) Males and females who are health conscious.


One of our target markets are young and middle-aged adults both males and females.
This category should have a health conscious mind, usage of this device allows them
to monitor their heart rate, blood pressure, step-count and distance including
connecting it through an android or ios phone for better monitoring.
2) Gym-goers
Gym-goers are often very motivated in weight-loss and muscle gain, this device
enables them to continuously monitor their health for better results in maintaining
their usual performance in any exercise performed.
