Learning Purpose/Learning Intention/Rationale:


- To overview what was learnt in the previous First Aid lesson
- Students to create strategies for on the trip to minimize risk.
Victorian Curriculum – F-10 or VCE Focus

VCHPEP144 – Personal, Social and Community Health – Being Healthy, safe and active
Plan, rehearse and evaluate options (including CPR and first aid) for managing situations
where their own or others’ health, safety and wellbeing may be at risk

Ethical Capability
- Distinguish between the ethical and non-ethical dimensions of complex issues,
including the distinction between ethical and legal issues (VCECU021)

Personal and Social Capabilities


- Evaluate own and others contribution to group tasks, critiquing roles including
leadership and provide useful feedback to peers, evaluate task achievement and
make recommendations for improvements in relation to team goals (VCPSCSO050)
- Evaluate emotional responses and the management of emotions in a range of

Success Criteria / Learning outcomes:


- Confidently complete hypothetical scenarios using DRSABCD and CPR
- Students will be able to identify risks and name strategies to avoid said risk
Assessment:
- Successful completion of first aid scenarios with appropriate responses and technique
- Successful identification of risks
Procedure:
