I’m a flexible and adaptable student that can work efficiently and have learned how to do more oral presentation throughout my time at 
LASGS. I’ve gotten out of my comfort zone so that I can expand my connections now that I’ll be graduating. I’m also bilingual and can 
speak fluently Spanish and English 

PROJECT & WORK EXPERIENCE 

Invisibility -​ ​ Political Studies Class, Semester 2019 


In this project, we had to read the novel Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, see events of slavery and what African Americans had to do 
throughout main character's perspective, and discuss the events at the end of reading the novel and would do a Socratic seminar  
● Agency in reading the assigned parts on time and ahead of time 
● Work Habits would start reading during the weekend and anytime I had free time 
● Knowledge & Thinking understand the events that changed the main character 

Immigration​ -​ Political Studies Class , Fall Semester 2018 


In this project we had to learn about immigration reasons/causes and also interview either immigrants or migrants about the reasons 
why they came to the US and do a essay in an Article way  
● Written Communication by writing essay as a news article  
● Knowledge & Thinking finding ways to represent the stories being told to us 
● Agency by working on the project up late and having my parts done ahead of time to turn in before due date 

Civic Action Project Trump’s “Zero Tolerance Policy” -​ 2019 


In this project we had to choose a policy to work on and also study, from there our group was invited to lobby at the steps of capitol hill 
and also made shirts by hand 

● Call to action about family separations at border between USA and Mexico 
● Went to Sacramento to the Capitol building to talk to senators to get support  
● Created handmade shirts for lobbying at Sacramento and for the rally at the Metropolitan Detention Center

Senior at a project-based learning school that focuses on 21st Century skills with a career pathway in Design, Media and Social Change.
