KALMATRON® KF-A

USA Patent 5,728,208

DESCRIPTION OF KF-A

KF-A is a gray-white, dry powder, with a specific smell. After application, the smell disappears. The
non-organic cementitious waterproofer, and modifier compound works as an admixture with concrete and
mortar mixes which actually changes the rheology creating High Performance Concrete from 1 product.

BENEFITS

• Higher compressive strength, by 20-25%

• Outstanding Waterproofing
• Early strengthening
• Impermeability
• No Alkali Silica Reactivity Concerns
• Adheres to concrete in extreme temperature conditions; both hot and cold
• Reduces the core temperature by 20%, great for mass pours
• Increased freeze/thaw resistance up to 450 cycles, and more
• Shrinkage Decreased by 25-50% and reduced shrinkage cracks
• High Abrasion Resistance
• Improved Workability with lower W/C ratio
• Very pumpable with no clogs in the hose
• Extremely smooth finish
• Improved Tensile/Flexural Strength
• Homogeneous Mass creates a Hydraulic Lock within the concrete
• No Curling Foundations
• Increased Density
• 97% Micro Pores
• Can be used in freezing weather conditions
• Rebar is protected from Rust
• No Curing Needed
• Reduction of water to cement ratio by 8-15%
• No superplasticizers, water reducers, air entrainers, anti-freezers or other admixtures, Fly Ash,
Silica Fume, meshes, steel fiber/synthetic fibers or membranes are needed
• Reduction in construction time
• Reduction/Elimination of Efflorescence
• Lower absorption rates
• High resistance to aggressive liquids/gases, including H2S
• Ability to solve high alkalinity problems, moisture emission problems
• No Bleedwater
• Increased Durability
• Kalmatron concrete does NOT have problems with Dusting, Blistering, Crazing or Scaling!

USES OF KF-A

• Applicable for all concrete and mortar related projects.
