The best approach to answering this question:

The best way to answer is to be honest but also answer in a way that shows you have actually thought about the relationship between
going to school and your future. Realize that you definitely do not need to know what you want to be doing ten years from now. If you
can see yourself in five different careers, say so. Show that you are excited about the future and that college plays a role in that future.

With this question, the interviewer seeks to find out if:

 You have thought about your future.

 You have a sense of why school is important to you and your goals.
 Studying fits into your long-term plan.

 Examples:

“In ten years, with a Bachelor’s degree in (major), I will master my profession within (company name) because it’s an opportunity
to become a talent in my field – by enhancing my professionalism while learning new (example skills), interacting with different
people and integrating new work methods”.

>>If you know exactly what you want to do, an interview question about your future is easy to answer.

"I don't know what I will be doing, but I know I want to work with people. In college I'm interested in taking classes in sociology and
psychology to learn what some of the options are."

>> An answer such as this shows your uncertainty, but it shows that you know yourself, you've thought about the future, and you are
eager to explore new fields of study.

Brainstorm:

When you look 10 years ahead, where do you see yourself? What do you want to be doing with your career and life, and why?
What are your dreams and aspirations in addition to specific goals? If you’re undecided, why do you think that is?

Note: The interviewer wants to observe many interesting things about you as a candidate – Do you know how to plan ahead? Do you have a clear career plan? Do you
have a vision? Are you loyal? Are you reliable? How serious are you about this school application and are you focused with your school search?
