Coordinator, Mr. Gerel V. Baino, highly respected teachers of Kalingangan National High School,
parents, students, Ladies and Gentlemen, a pleasant afternoon!
According to an American theoretical physicist, mathematician, and string theorist, ”Science is a
way of life. Science is a perspective. Science is the process that takes us from confusion to
understanding in a manner that's precise, predictive and reliable - a transformation, for those lucky
enough to experience it, that is empowering and emotional.

Ladies and gentlemen, Kalingagan National High School Science and Mathematics Faculty and
Officers proudly welcome you all to the SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS MONTH CELEBRATION &
1ST CONVOCATION PROGRAM, bearing the theme, WAVEFRONT: Accentuating Potentials,
Activating Technological Advancements.”

This afternoon we will witness exciting competitions that we will definitely give life to the celebration.
But of course, we will also be recognizing the academic performance of our Junior High School and
Senior High School during the First Quarter of the SY 2018-2019. Without further ado, let us all stand
for the singing of the National Anthem through a canned video and please remain standing for the
invocation to be led by the select Grade 11 Jade Students.

Thank you very much Grade 11 Jade students. At this point, Mrs. Nena Palapar, Secondary School

At this juncture, we shall now proceed to the giving of certificates to the academic awardees of the
Junior High School Department. We would like to request our, School Principal, Mr. Ronnie B. Uba to
be on stage to hand the certificates to the awardees. This will be assisted by the Class Advisers.

Now let us move to the next part of the program, The Math and Science Culminating Program.
Science, technology and Mathematics have become such integral parts of society that scientists and
mathematicians can no longer isolate themselves from societal concerns. Scientists are increasingly
called upon to contribute to public policy and to the public understanding of science. They play an
important role in educating nonscientists about the content and processes of science. This afternoon,
we honor these scientist and their contributions. Ladies and gentlemen, let us all welcome our Scientist
