PROJECT STATEMENT

Project name: BIG NANTES

Prepared by: EB CONSTRUCTIONS
Date: 04/01/2019

1. Project justification
The railroad is built to connect Nantes’ three existing railways to transport goods and passengers to maximize the
capacities of the railway systems with a view to reduce the city’s carbon footprint, maintain its green movement
and accelerate dynamic economic growth.

2. Objective
• Connect the existing tramway and busway lines
• Reduce the travelling time of the passengers
• Improve the passengers experience
• Use the tram way to transport goods
• Enhance the economic dynamic of the city
• Reduce the carbon emissions

3. Project Description
3.1 Project Scope / Deliverables
Includes
• Construction of railroads
• Safety Checking
• Constructions of tram stops
• Hiring work force and renting equipment
• Sourcing materials
• Establishing electric lines
• Development and integration of digital services
Excludes (limits of the project)
• Operating trams
• Buying trams
• Maintenance
• Electric grid

3. Project Description
3.2 Success Criteria (Performance indicators)
Four categories for success criteria:
• Timelines:
o Cycle time
o Time spent

• Budget:
o Budget variance
o Line items in budget

• Qualtity:
o Customer satisfaction
o Number of errors

• Effectiveness:
o Number of Project Milestones completed on time with sign off
o Number of returns

3.3 Assumptions
• It is possible to build a tram way according to the proposed plan without having any hurdles such as
buildings in between
• Total cost is bared by the government
• Perfect architecture with site verifications done hence no need to use designers for more than once
