Facebook: Like or Unlike?

Communication has now gone through several phases of all the

occurrences in the society, humanity, and in the whole world. Modern
technology has enabled the creation of communication tools, sites and
applications with the use of internet. One of the most distinct social media in
the industry of today is Facebook.

Statista website consolidates an statistical data that facebook has already

2.9 billion monthly active users from 2008 up to the first quarter of 2018.
Currently, the usage of facebook among internet users worldwide is above 80
percent. It is apparent that the use of facebook is now rampant all over the
world. While there are multiple of comfort to using facebook, it also brings
threats to us, users.

First and formemost threat that facebook brings is our profile. It actually
brings us to the extend of invading each others right of privacy. It is very easy
to use fake and stolen pictures that may harm others lives. They do use other’s
name and picture to harass someone and put them into danger. One may also
be able to access personal details because it is posted publicly in their timeline,
which is not advisable for each and everyone.

Another threat to using facebook is addiction. As facebook allows us to

enjoy the benefits it bring, users get addictive to it while wasting our valuable
time. We do not realize that we do throw away so much time in commenting,
and doing other stuff which are not so important.

Thus, we must be responsible enough in managing our actions. We

humans are the ones with the highest intelligence overall the creations on
earth. We must be the controller of everything, not that we are being controlled
by the ones we created.
