 JUSTIFICACION

Esta actividad tiene como objetivo principal reforzar todo lo aprendido en la solución de
la Guía de aprendizaje N.4 Actividad 4 – Evidence: Describing cities and places /
Evidencia: Describiendo ciudades y lugares. Intercambiar información personal y
familiar haciendo uso de la estructura, el vocabulario y contextos requeridos. De igual
manera Interactuar con otros en idioma extranjero según estipulaciones del Marco
Común Europeo de Referencia para idiomas. Promover la interacción idónea consigo
mismo, con los demás, y con la naturaleza en los contextos laboral y social y así
alcanzar los resultados de aprendizaje esperados.

You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para

New York is a big city in the

United States (North America). It
takes thousand of visitors every
year. The city has a population of
around 8 million people. There is
a lot to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central Park,
the Metropolian museum and
Time’s Square. In the picture
you can see the Statue of
Liberty, a monumet built
between 1875 and 1986. It is 93
meters tall. The statue is located
on Liberty Island in the Hudson
New York (USA) – The Statue of Liberty
River.

Rome (Italy) – Saint Peter’s Square
Sydney (Australia) – The Sydney Opera
House
Edinburgh (Scotland) – Edinburgh Castle
Saint Peter’s Square is perhaps the
most famous square in the world
and one of the most beautiful. It was
built by Bernini in the mid-
seventeenth century and can
accommodate more than 300,000
people.
Saint Peter’s Square is is one of the
most beautiful and largest squares in
the world. It is located in the
Vatican, at the foot of the Basilica
of San Pedro.
The Sydney Opera House it is one
of the most famous and distinctive
buildings of the twentieth century.
Declared in 2007 a World Heritage
Site.
Theater, ballet, opera or musical
productions are performed in the
building.
Surrounded by a magnificent river
that surrounded by a peninsula that
is inserted into the harbour.
Where you can also find the famous
bridge of the bay of Sidney, which
accompanies the magnificent
landscape.
Edinburgh Castle is an old fortress
erected on a rock of volcanic origin
located in the center of the city of
Edinburgh.
It is considered a traditional
building, since, over time, it has
become a historical monument that
allows visitors to enter its
construction and history.
Currently the castle is observed as if
it were on top of a mountain.
 The Burj Khalifa it is the tallest
tower in the world with a height of
828 meters. More than 12,000
people from 30 countries
participated in the construction of
the building.
It is surrounded by modern
buildings, but in this one you can
see several viewpoints that make
contemplate Dubai and its
landscapes. You can get to
contemplate the desert, since it is
located in Dubai.

laboral y social y así alcanzar los resultados de aprendizaje esperados. de igual manera
generar hábitos saludables en su estilo de vida para garantizar la prevención de riesgos
ocupacionales de acuerdo con el diagnóstico de su condición física individual y la
naturaleza y complejidad de su desempeño laboral
