1) Description
2) Installation Guidelines
• Substrate Preparation
Asphalt substrates must have oxidised prior to installing Sports-CoteTM Pro PU. Concrete
substrates must be sound and free of laitance.
All loosely adhered debris must be removed by vacuuming, blowing or sweeping prior to the
installation of Sports-CoteTM Pro PU. Any firmly-adhered contamination should be removed
by low-pressure power washing or sanding.
The pre-fabricated rubber mat is supplied in rolls with a 1.5m width, with the rolls being
factory-cut to the length of the sports surface.
The pre-fabricated rubber mat is bonded to the substrate with a 2k polyurethane adhesive,
mixing of which is undertaken with a slow-running drill and paddle. Application of the mixed
adhesive is undertaken with a flat-bladed trowel
Please note that the 2k polyurethane adhesive should be applied at a rate of approx.
1.2m2/kg.
The 2k polyurethane pore filler is mixed with a slow-running drill and paddle. Application of
the mixed pore filler is undertaken with a flat-bladed trowel.
Please note that the 2k polyurethane pore filler should be applied at a rate of approx.
1.7m2/kg.
• Wear Layer
The 2k polyurethane wear layer is mixed with a slow-running drill and paddle. Application of
the mixed wear layer is undertaken with a flat-bladed trowel or squeegee. Once applied, the
wear layer should be spike-rollered.
Please note that the 2k polyurethane wear layer should be applied at a rate of approx.
0.4m2/kg. Also note that any high spots in the cured wear layer should be removed with
an orbital sanding machine prior to the application of the top coat.
• Top Coat
The 1k water-based polyurethane top coat should be applied in one coat, using a short or
medium-pile roller.
Please note that the 1k water-based top coat should be applied at a rate of 8-10m2/litre.
