What is motivation?
Motivation is the general desire of someone to do something. It is the reason for people’s actions,
desires and need. Motivation has been considered as one of the most important reasons that inspires
person to move forward.

What is Motivational technique?

Motivational techniques is the third of the four factors that influence organizational climate. These
are the methods used by managers to stimulate employees to take goal directed actions.

Here are some tips for keeping your teachers motivated :


 Make yourself available
- help your teachers as much as possible when they have a heavier workload.
 Publicly praise teachers
- if a teacher feels valued, you won’t need to worry about motivating them. These teachers know
how to be motivated.
 Leave some room in the budget for small gifts
- if a teacher takes an extra work, make sure that their work is appreciated. They will appreciate a
cup coffee!
 Encourage teachers to seek out professional development opportunities
- you should offer professional development for the teachers within and outside the school.
 Provide opportunities to take breaks.
- consider giving your teachers a time to unwind. Going for a team building will do so.
 Give teachers a voice
- teachers would love to be involved in decision making.
 Empower each teachers strengths
- learn to find out the strengths of your teachers and help them to make use of it.
 Recognize key stress times
- do not overload teachers
 Encourage collaboration
- having your teachers work together can significantly impact their motivation.

Keeping your teachers motivated can be a challenge. But it is an essential part your student’s
overall success. Great teachers are those that are motivated to excel and take pride in their student’s
success both inside and outside the classroom.
