A. Developmental Activities
a. Motivation
The teacher will show different pictures of action words to the students and the students need to identify the action
words for each picture.
Once the students are able to identify the action word, the teacher will ask the students what is the past tense of
the words. The students may try to add -d or -ed as what they have learned from the last lesson, but the teacher
will emphasize that these action words are called Irregular Action Words.
b. Presentation
The teacher will show the chart of irregular action words and their past tense.
c. Activity
The teacher will show pictures to the students and written down are the past tense of these action words. The
students’ task is to write down what is the Irregular action word in order to understand the past tense.

Why do you think the irregular action words are called “irregular”?
They are irregular action word because their past tense is spelled differently and we do not add -d or -ed.
e. Application
Each group will be given copies of regular action words and their past tense and they need to make a chant-clap
with it to practice memorization. Then they will perform infront of the class.
