Flag Day Photo

Flag Day is always celebrated on
June 14th, and this is a photo by
Trent Pitsenbarger of a Blue Angels
demonstration over Fort McHenry. One
of the best stories about Old Glory is
from Fort McHenry National Monument
& Historic Shrine in Maryland. During
the 1814 Battle of Baltimore, a massive
flag measuring 30 feet high and 42 feet
long flew over the fort. After a night of
British bombardment, Francis Scott
Key saw the flag still waving above
the fort and was inspired to write the
words for the “Star Spangled Banner.”
It remains a moving sight to this day.
Also on Friday, Senator Steve Daines
introduced a constitutional amendment
that bans burning the American flag.
that would ban the burning of the
American Flag. “The American flag has
been a symbol of hope and freedom for
centuries and ought to be respected,”
Daines said. “Our nation’s flag must be
set apart as a protected symbol worthy
of honor.” It immediately caught the
attention of President Donald Trump.

no brainer!” June 14th also happens
to be President Trump’s birthday!
Perhaps another reason why he loves
his country. Many Americans fail to
realize that at the time of the creation
of the flag, there was no formal nation
of the United States of America.

9th Annual is in the books
Eight teams made it to Fort Peck this weekend for
the 9th Annual “Chappy” Memorial Co-Ed Softball
Tournament and 14 Games were played out on John
Hahn Field.
Action started bright and early Saturday morning.
Eight games were contested on Saturday. The final six
teams closed out the action today with 6 more games.

he would once again be
running for Montana
Governor, Montana
Secretary of State Corey
Stapleton (R) dropped
out of the governor’s race
and will be running for
Gianforte’s vacancy of the
House of Representatives.
This morning on
Montana Talks, Montana
State Auditor Matt
Rosendale (R) announced
that he will also be running
for Montana’s lone U.S.
House seat.
Rosendale was the
Republican nominee
in Montana’s 2018 U.S.
Senate election, but lost
to incumbent Democratic
U.S. Senator Jon Tester.
Tester won 50% of the vote
to Rosendale’s 47%, with
Libertarian candidate Rick
Breckenridge taking 3%.
The general election is
500 days away.

“ Come to American you indigent
immigrants. Everything will be
furnished as soon as you illegally cross
the border and turn yourself in to the Border
Patrol. No one turned away! No need to hurry. There’s

The first mass migration is from Central America.
It is still going strong and the Border Patrol is inundated
with applications for asylum.
If that wasn’t enough, we are now being infiltrated
by Africans from the Republic of the Congo, the
Democratic Republic of the Congo and from Angola.
According to the Breitbart News, 117 Central
African migrants began illegally crossing the South
Texas Border on May 30th. How are they getting across
our border? Who the Hell let them in?
By June 5th more than 500 African illegal migrants
had crossed illegally in this single Border Patrol Sector.
Did you catch the word ILLEGALLY?
But here’s where I get confused folks. The Texas
city of San Antonio was expected to be able to move
the Congolese illegal migrants along to Portland, Maine
but when Interim Assistant City Mgr of San Antonio
Dr. Collen Bridger reached out to Portland, Bridger
was told “Please don’t send us and more. We’re already
stretched way beyond our capacity.”
Bridger is now trying to locate other localities who
would be willing to foot the bill for these migrants.
Most of them are indigent and have not been cleared
medically and are carrying diseases not common to the
US. Not a just few of them have TB. And the HIV virus
is rampant in Central Africa.
Do we really need more of this insanity? The
Demoncrats are giddy with delight at the prospect of
more votes for their candidates.

US of A like to adopt 300 or so mostly pennyless and
disease ridden Congolese families?
It’s time to hire that little Dutch boy who plugged
the dike.... (oops, can’t use that word.)....the little Dutch
boy who used his thumb to plug the leak in the ‘water
containment barrier’ with his thumb saving the town.
As I’ve said before....I’m not in favor of the wall.
I am in favor of Trump for trying but the wall will not
stop people like these Central Africans who just seemed
to appear on this side of the border, no one knows how.
And once they are here do we send them back to
their original place of origin? Do we incarcerate them
as the criminals they are? Do we show the world we
have had enough and that when you enter our country
illegally there will be tough consequences, not just a
slap on the wrist, a sack lunch and a bus ride back to
the border.
Mexico, one of our best trade partners (Not) is
doing absolutely nothing to quell the invasion. They’re
sitting back laughing their collective arses off seeing
the dilemma we are in. They’ll be sorry though because
for every Central African who enters the US and gains
illegal employment that will mean just one less job
for and Central American who escapes detection and
enters illegally looking for a hand-out.
It has to stop friends. America has all the problems
we can deal with as I speak. All you BHL’s who condone
all these illegal shenanigans will find that one day soon
it will rear up and bite you right square where you sit.
The really bad thing about this whole situation is
that the main stream media is saying “crisis? what crisis,”
and “there’s no crisis..it’s all fake,” and my favorite, “It’s
preposterous to call this an ‘emergency’.”

Public can help pick Montana’s Choice at Miss Montana Pageant

Would you believe Lucille Chouinard of Fort Peck
was the the very first woman crowned Miss Montana
in 1939? 2018 winner was Laura Haller of Helena.
The Miss Montana Program, now in its 70th year
and held in Glendive the last 15 years, will run from
June 20 through 22 at the DCHS auditorium. Thursday
is the preliminary competition for the teen and miss
contestants. Friday, June 21 will be the crowning of
the new Miss Montana’s Outstanding Teen plus more
talent, evening gown and on stage questions for the
Miss Montana contestants. Saturday, June 22 culminates
with the crowning of the new Miss Montana 2019.
24 amazing young women arrived in Glendive
on Sunday to start a whirlwind week of excitement,
adventure, community service, and the chance to win
the state title. Each contestant besides being talented
has a platform to make a difference from skin cancer
awareness, the need for foster homes, to suicide
prevention and empowering youth.
“Dare to make a Difference” is the exciting theme
for this year’s Miss Montana and Miss Montana’s
Outstanding Teen Scholarship Program.
Contestants have decorated their shoes to
represent their hometown or platform for the “Show
Us Your Shoes” Parade Friday at 1:00 p.m. followed
by an ice cream social in Our Park sponsored by the
Glendive Chamber. Any organization wanting to be in
the parade can contact the chamber at 377-5601.
Friday night after the show, the Gala sponsored
by Cape Air offers refreshments and dance to celebrate
the coronation of Miss Montana’s Outstanding Teen.
Saturday Miss Montana, Laura Haller, will host
the Royal Tea at the Eastern Plains Event Center where
Miss Montana contestants will model fashions from
the VINT, sponsor of the Royal Tea.
The public can help determine who gets to be
Montana’s Choice and advance to the semifinals. By
voting for your favorite miss and teen contestant with
one dollar a vote at http://www.missmontana.com,
the contestant raising the most “votes” on line and
at the preliminaries ending on Friday, June 21 wins
the Montana’s Choice scholarship and a spot in the
semifinals.

20, Glendive; Samantha French, 24, Havre; Haylee

Reegan Mosley, 18, Miles City; Mo Shea, 22, Helena;
and Emily Kuehn 19, of Glendive.
Outstanding Teen contestants, age 14-17, are
Jessica Romo-Sidney, Taitlyn Berry-Glendive, Jessa
Steele-Manhattan, Violet Anderson-Polson, Grace
Peoples –Wibaux; Tymber Jensen-Absarokee, Liliana
Johnson-Sidney, Karen Murphy-Glendive, Eden
Paressini-Billings, Marrin Kolczak-Hardy-Missoula,
Sloan Orrell-Belgrade, Alissa Bohle of Plevna and
Simonne Clay of Billings.
The winner of Miss Montana will compete in
the Miss America pageant and in the coming year
represent Montana at events across the state. The
winner of the Miss Montana’s Outstanding Teen will
go on to compete at the national level in Orlando,
Florida in late July. With $37,000 in cash scholarships
and more in applied scholarships to specific colleges,
these girls are excited and very serious about the
importance of representing this amazing place we call
home, Montana!
