Sector do Trabalho junta-se a AAAJC no combate ao trabalho infantil
Inicia-se hoje a missão da AAAJC com o sector do
trabalho no combate as piores formas de trabalho in-
fantil em Tete. Hoje está a AAAJC em Macanga na
missão. Está na forja uma estratégia conjunta entre a
Associação de Apoio e aAssistência Jurídica as Comu-
nidades, AAAJC e a Direcção de Trabalho, Emprego e
Segurança Social visando reduzir e mitigar as piores
formas do trabalho infantil na província de Tete. O
ponto de partida será Furacungo, na vila sede de Ma-
canga, onde é dramático o foco de crianças envolvi-
das na mineração artesanal. Alguns contactos nesse
sentido já foram avançados, estando por enquanto a
elaboração pelas partes, dos consequentes termos de
referência inspirados em eixos que vão assegurar a
implementação de medidas e acções concretas para a
prevenção e mitigação das piores formas do trabalho
infantil. É preocupação conjunta destas instituições,
mas também da sociedade no geral, uma vez que só a
execução efectiva de programas de apoio para a eli-
minação das Piores Formas do Trabalho Infantil pode
gerar mudanças significativas. Por partes, está a
AAAJC interessada na retirada, reabilitação e integra-
ção de crianças envolvidas nas Piores Formas de Tra-
balho Infantil e sua colocação em programas de gera-
ção sustentável de meios de vida, uma das linhas de
força da política nacional sobre esta matéria. Mas está
Código de Conduta nas escolas ?
É entendimento comum que dever-se-á identificar e
mapear as casas, empresas, locais que possuem crianças
envolvidas nas piores formas do trabalho infantil, in-
cluindo as respectivas entidades patronais, bem como
os locais críticos nesta situação. Aliás, é desta maneira
que se vai materializar o acesso a educação e formação
profissional e, serão realizadas, entre outros, o fortaleci-
mento das práticas de encaminhamento e resposta ao
nível das escolas, comunidades, envolvendo as lideran-
ças locais, chefes dos quarteirões, municípios, líderes
comunitários, linhas de denúncia e identificação dos
pontos focais. Torna-se ainda assim, pertinente desen-
volver o Código de Conduta nas escolas, através da
formação de professores e alunos sobre os seus direitos

devem ser orientados para a criação e manutenção de
um ambiente escolar seguro, atraente e amigável para
que as crianças permaneçam nele. Neste ambiente, par-
ticipação das crianças deve constituir um elemento
importante da estratégia e a formação dos professores
em pré-serviço e em serviço deve ser reforçada para
garantir a sensibilização daqueles profissionais sobre
os efeitos negativos das piores formas do trabalho in-
fantil.

Who Are We? The Association for Support and Legal Assistance to Communities (AAAJC) is an mozambican
