2. Distribute the trial prep papers to each person and allow them time to
prepare for the trial.
3. Letting the Judge be the facilitator of the discussion, allow the students
to carry out the trial.
4. Once all points have been made, allow the jury to step out of the room,
deliberate and come to a conclusion. Choose one juror to present the results to the
courtroom.

Matrix Work
1. Collaboratively, have the students work on the matrix comparing and
contrasting the details in “The Snake Haired Monster” versus “Demeter and
Persephone”.
2. Come back whole group to discuss and resolve any misunderstandings.
3. Have students work in pairs to respond to the written response questions.
