EP208 Mass Transfer – Assignment (10%)

Case study for Assignment : Absorption Column / Distillation Column.

The content:
1. The case study background (explain the involved components in the chosen Absorption / Distillation column)
2. Calculation of all details, such as flowrate of gas streams, solvent streams, components fractions, efficiency, min flowrate,
maximum output, number of stages for column, types of packs/ trays used and etc.
3. Plotting of graph/ lines if necessary.
4. Drawing of the equipment chosen (Absorption column / Distillation column) using engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD,
Hysis, Aspen, Visio, etc.).

All the content must be typed (NO HAND WRITTEN) and/or drawn using specific engineering software.
Submission Date: WEEK 14 (3 April 2019). Submit during lecture class.
