Notice on Limitation of PDCCHs on Each TRX in IPAbis Sites under
Subject
IBSCV6.20 (100M Platform)
Problem Description:
The receiving buffer of each TRX of IPRB DSP (100M platform) is 1000. Access
of large amount of PS service into it may rewrite DSP memory and lead to
abnormal DSP operation. In this case, the alarm on DSP resource unavailable
may be raised, CS service and PS service of TRXs on the DSP may also be
influenced. If over 5 PDCCHs are configured on one TRX, this problem may be
triggered.
Solution:

In iBSC system (100M platform), for the sites with IP access (SDR and S8001
sites), it’s suggested that at most 5 PDCCHs be configured on each TRX,
including both static and dynamic channels.
Implementation Suggestion:

Immediate check of numbers of dynamic/static PDCCHs on each TRX is

recommended. If any TRX is configured with over 5 PDCCHs, make appropriate
adjustment and reset the corresponding BIPB.
Adjustment to the number of PDCCHs and BIPB reset should be performed after
24:00.
