HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE
Using public domain (PD) is a great way to produce new content fast. You can use PD content to
produce books, audio books, ebooks and video courses as well as blog posts, email series, podcast
content and so much more.

But in order to use it you must first find it. In this book, I lay out some of the best places on the web to
find PD content. I’ve divided the book up into five categories: PD Images, PD Text, PD Video-Audio-
Music, PD Comics and PD Search Engines.

A word of caution:
Most of these resources in this book provide pure PD content while others offer it under a Creative
Commons (CC) license with free commercial use and the need for attribution. It is up to you to use the
content under the terms that it is made available. This is to say, you need to check it. Don’t
automatically assume that resources here are PD (though the majority are) just make sure that you are
using the content accordance to it status either PD or CC . Ultimately, you are responsible for the
content that you use so if in doubt ask the webmaster at the site where you downloaded the material.

How This Book Is Organized

Pretty simple really… like this:

One last thing, I want you to actually get useful content from this resource which will require you to stay
on task and focused. I know all too well that “research” can turn into hours surfing the Internet with
nothing being accomplished. So set a timer as you look through these resources and don’t succumb to
“click bait” that you might find that, before you know it, will have you reading a blog post like….

4
Stay the course… actually research what you’re looking for and don’t allow yourself to become
distracted.

You’re welcome!

Now let’s dive in…. May the “Force of PD Content Be With You”

Daniel
