Dear NDMA Prospective Parents,

Greetings from Notre Dame Marist Academy-Lower Division! School is back in session, and we are off to a great start.
We are happy to report that we added 38 new students to our division, with a total number of 169 students from JK3-5th
grade! The students are eager to learn and enthusiastic about their new academic adventure! We are very happy that they
have chosen Notre Dame, and we are proud to help all of them live out our mission of our school as Christian people,
upright citizens and academic scholars.
.

Notre Dame continues to strengthen its identity as the school of choice in Oakland County. Consider:

• Notre Dame is the first Catholic school in the United States to offer the International Baccalaureate curriculum at all
three levels: Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme.
• While “special” classes at other area schools have been cut, the Lower Division proudly offers Spanish, Art, Music,
Technology, Physical Education and Library to students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 5. All students take
Spanish five days a week.
• NDMA’s robotics team took first place at the 2017 GM-sponsored Vex IQ Elementary School Michigan State
Championship and placed second at the 2017 World Championships in Louisville, Ky.
• More than 55 members of the NDP Class of 2017 who graduated from NDMA earned college scholarships totaling
$6.5 million. Twenty-one of the 55 earned up to $100,000 in scholarship money. Six earned up to $200,000, and
sixteen more surpassed the $200,000 mark. As an average, NDMA alums who graduated from NDP last year earned
more than $119,000 in college scholarships. As a whole, the NDP Class of 2017 earned more than $21 million in
scholarship money.
• The NDP Class of 2017 recorded an average ACT score of 27.2, higher than the state (24.1) and national (21.0)
averages. This average score is the highest by our students in our school history for the third consecutive year.

This measurable data, combined with countless intangible factors, should bring you confidence in considering NDMA for
your child. We invite you to learn more about our school by coming to our Fall Open House on Sunday, November 5
(1 to 4 p.m.), or for a personal visit; we gladly will welcome you through our doors and show you firsthand what makes
our school so special and so distinct. Contact us to learn more about visiting NDMA and to arrange for your child to be
“Irish for a Day.” We look forward to continuing our communication and sharing more information about the unmatched
educational experience we will provide your child. Go Irish!
