Summer School Plan

Biology – 12th Grade

2018-2019

Resources to study:
• Class Notes and PowerPoint Presentations
• Worksheets and workbook
• Returned Homework / Projects
• Returned Quizzes/Tests
• Test corrections

Activities:
 Teacher will review one or two topics every day during the ten days of summer
school.
 Students need to work on defining the key terms of the summer school study guide
posted in Google Classroom.
• Definitions should be handwritten; they should be based on classwork, the class´
PowerPoints and on the workbook. No copying from the internet will be accepted.
Work will be collected the day of the suppletory exam
 Review will be done as per the following schedule:

Day 4 Topics 4 and 5: Species, communities and ecosystems, Energy flow
Day 5 Topics 6 and 7: Carbon Cycling, Climate change
Day 6 Topics 8, 9 and 10: Anatomical terminology and tissues, Human Physiology -
Digestion and absorption, Blood System
Day 7 Topics 11 and 12: Gas exchange, Hormones, Homeostasis and Reproduction
Day 8 Topic 13: Genetics and inheritance
Day 9 Topic 14 and 15: Evolution and Biodiversity – Natural Selection, Hominids
Day 10 Review
