Total fluid in the first 24 hours = 2 - 4 ml / kg / % of BSA

Divided total volume into two halves:

Infuse the first half in first 8 hours

Infuse the rest in the next 16 hours

START TIME = TIME OF ACTUAL BURN INJURY OCCURRENCE

EMERGENCY ESCHARATOMY

• Should be performed for fullthickness burn

• Can be carried out without analgesia
• Use a sterile knife
• Incise along anatomical lines
• Releases a eschar tissue out of the body
