AMARA J. BRADY  (Ensemble) is a playwright,
actor, and producer from Chicago. The crux of
her artistry is uplifting Women of Color,
especially Black women and connecting
underserved communities with stories about

GABRIELLA GARCIA (Ensemble) is a West
Coast native and has been in NYC for two
years now! Gabriella is a college graduate
from AMDA: College and Conservatory of
Performing Arts where she received a BFA in
Musical Theater. Out of the Box Theatrics is
near and dear to her heart. She is so excited
about the work they do and is she proud to be
able to share in telling this beautiful story.

ALICIA KRAKAUER  (Ensemble) is beyond
thrilled to be part of this production! She has
played a variety of roles including Bunny in
Babes and Arms, Lenny in Crimes of the
Heart, and most recently was in The
Producers with the Barnstormers Theatre.
She holds a BFA from Syracuse, and an MA
from Mountview Academy in London, both in
musical theatre, and is the proud co-creator
of the NEXT concert series featuring new
writers in both the U.S. and U.K.

Island. He's been in a number of projects
since moving to NYC including the Trans
Voices Cabaret, Trans Theatre Festival, and
Laundryfest. Sydney would like to thank Out

BRIAN CHARLES ROONEY (Ensemble) In a
critically acclaimed performance that
Entertainment Weekly said "ignited the
stage," Brian Charles Rooney made his
Broadway debut as Lucy Brown in The
Threepenny Opera for The Roundabout
Theatre Co., and won The Kurt Weill
Foundation's Lys Symonette Award for
Dramatic Excellence.  He was recently lauded
by The New York Times for his performance
as Dionne Salon in the hit Off-Broadway
musical, Bedbugs!!!.  He won the CT Critics
Circle Award for Best Actor in a Musical as
Candy Darling in POP! for Yale Repertory, and
has won three NYMF Outstanding
Performance Awards (Bedbugs!!!, Bayonets of
Angst, and last season’s Miss Blanche Tells it
All). He appeared with Kristin Chenoweth in I
Am Harvey Milk at Lincoln Center; and with
Nathan Lane & Megan Mullally in Guys & Dolls

ETHAN PAULINI (Director) is a director,
choreographer, actor, writer, and educator. He
has directed and choreographed at regional
theatres throughout the country as well as
here in NYC including OOTB’s inaugural
production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie
Brown!, and last season’s ‘"MASTER
HAROLD"... and the boys. As a performer, he
has extensive New York, national tour,
regional, TV/film, and commercial credits.
Ethan is the co-creator of Mama and Her Boys,
an original musical song cycle that has been
performed hundreds of times all over the East
Coast including an extended Off-Broadway
run. He is currently OOTB’s Associate Artistic
Director and Artistic Director of the
Weathervane Theatre in Whitefield, NH. Ethan
founded #ethancoaches in 2012, a private
acting and career coaching studio located in
midtown Manhattan boasting over 300 clients

LIZ FLEMMING  (OOTB Producing Artistic
Director) is the Founding Producing Artistic
Director of Out of the Box Theatrics, an
Actors' Equity Nonprofit Off-Broadway
Theater here in NYC. After several years
touring and working in the regional circuit as a
professional actor, Liz shifted focus to make
a difference within our theatre community
taking on inclusivity on the stage with the
creation of OOTB. With OOTB she produced
two successful sold-out seasons of site-
specific immersive productions. Other OOTB
producing credits include Alice at Alice’s
starring Alice Ripley, a series of Open Mics,
and several cabarets and special events.
Independently she was asked to produce the
new musical Mommie Dearest written by
Christina Crawford with music by David Nehls,
and Sam’s Room with New York Theater Barn.
Liz also serves as Associate Producer at the
cell theatre. She hopes to #changethestage
one show at a time.

(1979), Merrily We Roll Along (1981), Sunday
In The Park With George (1984), Into The
Woods (1987), Assassins (1991), Passion
(1994) and Road Show (2008) as well as
lyrics for West Side Story (1957), Gypsy
(1959) and Do I Hear A Waltz? (1965) and
additional lyrics for Candide (1973).
By Sondheim (1976), Marry Me A Little
(1981), You're Gonna Love Tomorrow (1983),
Putting It Together (1993/99) and Sondheim

scores of the films Stavisky (1974) and Reds

JAMES
  LAPINE  (Book) has also worked with
Stephen Sondheim on Sunday In The Park
With George and Passion as well as the
recent Broadway show, Sondheim On
Sondheim. He also directed the first revival of
Merrily We Roll Along at LaJolla Playhouse in
1985. With William Finn he has collaborated
on Falsettos, A New Brain, 25th Annual
Putnam County Spelling Bee, and the soon to
be produced Little Miss Sunshine. Other
Broadway credits: The Diary Of Anne Frank,
Golden Child, and Amour. He has written the
plays: Table Settings, Twelve Dreams, Luck,
Pluck & Virtue, The Moment When, Fran's Bed,
and Mrs. Miller Does Her Thing.
 WHO'S WHO
JEFFERSON MARKET LIBRARY (Venue)
Originally a courthouse, the Jefferson Market
Library has served the Greenwich Village
community for over forty years. The building, a
New York City landmark, was designed by
architects Frederick Clark Withers
and Calvert Vaux (who also assisted in the
design of Central Park) in a Victorian Gothic
style. It was erected—along with an adjacent
prison and market—between 1875 and 1877
and cost the city almost $360,000. What the
city got for its money, in addition to an
architectural gem—voted one of the ten
most beautiful buildings in America by a poll
of architects in the 1880s—was a civil court
on the second floor, now the Adult Reading
Room, and a police court, now the first-floor
Children's Room. The beautiful brick-arched
basement, now the Reference Room, was
used as a holding area for prisoners on their
way to jail or trial. Scattered about the
building were offices and chambers, and
looming a hundred feet above ground was the
firewatcher's tower. The tower, still intact,
commands an uninterrupted view of
Greenwich Village, and houses the bell that
would summon volunteer firemen.

widely considered one of the foremost
independent booksellers in America
specializing in illustrated books on
architecture, interior design, fashion,
photography, cookery, and the fine and
applied arts, as well as literature, and foreign
language books. Rizzoli Bookstore has been,
and will continue to be a literary landmark in

Established in New York in 1964

are represented and we carry a selection of
European magazines and newspapers. Rizzoli

nancy manocherian’s the cell (Artistic
Director, Kira Simring) is a not-for-profit
organization dedicated to the incubation and
presentation of new works by emerging
artists. Founded in 2006, the cell has

world premiere productions of new plays and
