2-1-1 Loading Sheets On Bins

NOTE (Before loading sheets)


- Fan well sheets to be collated to minimize
double sheets feed.
- Press firmly at folded edge when 4-page
signiture will be collated to minimize miss
feed or jamming.
- Dry printed ink on sheets before piling to
minimize trouble on feed roller or transport Fig. 2-1-1
belt.

(1) Depress Stop/Bin-Down Button to lower


all bins.

(2) Load sheets on each bin. Support Roller Front Guide Side Resister
- Sheets should be placed firmly against
side resister and front guide.

- Maximum pile height is 4 cm(1.6").

(3) Set side guide according to sheet size.

2-3 Feed Error Indiction

When feed error (misfeed, double sheet


feed or sheet jam) occurs, collating stops
after current collating set are delivered to
accessary. Depending on speed of collation
error monitor indicates in different ways.

(Detector Dust Monitor)

When detector (receiver) is contaminated


with dust, detector lamp will go off and
this effect on miss/double sheet detection.

When all three feed error lamps (miss feed,


double sheet feed and paper jam) are on,
sheets feed timing is wrong. Check pad
and bin pressure, support rollers position.

Three lamps can be reset by turn OFF and

2-4 Programming Collating


Programming collating can be set with two
buttons on remote controller. By these two
buttons, three programming collating modes
are selected.

2-4-1 Double Cycle Collation

Double cycle collation program allows you


to divide bins into two setups.

Program will start feeding setup 2 without


interruption as soon as one of bins in setup 1
runs out and vice versa.

7. Pile sheet on resting setup for continuous

Tab insertion mode can work with double

You can mix Double Cycle Collation and

CAUTION
Be sure to turn power off whenever
machine parts are cleaned.

3-1-1 Feed Rollers Feed Roller


To prevent failures in sheet feed, clean
feed rollers on each bin.
Separation Pad
- Remote feed roller. Clean feed rollers
with alcohol soaked cloth.

Replace feed roller to new one when roller


surface has become too stiff because of rubber
deterioration, or when dust or ink contami-
nated on roller surface cannot be removed.
