Arvandan Oil and Gas Company intends to construct an 8" N.B. buried
flowline from Sohrab WH1 to South Azadegan North Cluster.
Sohrab Field is located at North of Azadegan Field, and 115 Km North West of
Ahwaz right along the international border with Iraq.
The major sections of the project are:
- Wellhead facilities (at WH No.1).
- 8" N.B, 50 Km (Approx.) buried flow line.
- Receiving trap facility at South Azadegan North Cluster.
3.1 All electrical equipment, materials and installations shall be in accordance with the
applicable portions of the latest edition of the following standards, codes and
recommendations:
- Data Sheet
- TIA/EIA
3.2 Metric SI system of units shall be applied to all dimensions and documentations.
0CLIENT: CONSULTANT:
All telecommunication system design shall be carried out and all equipment and
materials shall be manufactured and tested to meet the environmental conditions
encountered at the Site.
In particular all equipment must be suitable for the rated currents and voltages,
short-circuit and earth fault currents applicable and must be sized in accordance
with ambient temperature, location and utilization.
In addition, all materials must be capable of resisting corrosion resulting from the
environmental conditions specified as follows:
The type of enclosure for all Telecom equipment, installed in Telecom equipment
rooms and buildings to shall be min. IP42.
The type of enclosure for Telecom equipment installed in the process plant and
other outdoor areas protected with canopy shall be min. IP54 and IP55 for motors.
The type of enclosure for Telecom equipment installed in the process plant and
other outdoor areas unprotected shall be min. IP65.
Classification of hazardous areas and their extent will be in accordance with IEC
60079 codes as follows:
- substance characteristic identification as per IEC 60079-1
- hazardous areas and their extension as per IEC 60079-10
The selection of electrical equipment to be installed in classified areas will follow
the recommendation of IEC 60079-14.No Telecom equipment will be installed in
hazardous areas classified Zone 0.
5.3 Certifications
All the systems and equipment shall be designed using good and established
engineering practices. The systems and equipment’s shall be of modular design
and must be capable of being operated and maintained by others with the
minimum of specialist knowledge.
6.4 Reliability
Reliability figures for MTBF and MTTR are the minimum and maximum values,
respectively:
Central Equipment Field Equipment
7.1 General
All the telecommunication systems provided within the plant shall be of a modern,
proven, reliable design complying with the applicable codes and standards.
Where possible, in order to ensure compatibility and interface connectivity, the
equipment to be supplied should be of the same model and manufacturer.
Commonality of equipment and interface compatibility should be carefully
reviewed during the detailed design phase.
All equipment shall be designed with growth capacity allowance to allow for
possible expansion at a later date.

7.2 SCADA
Supervisory control and data acquisition shall enable the Master Terminal Unit to
effectively communicate with the field located RTU’s via dual redundant fiber optic
cable.
The requirement at the Wellhead, for the Minimum Configuration phase of the
Sohrab WH1, is to monitor the critical parameters of the Well.
The WCP shall be located close to each Well in accordance to the area
classification rules. The Well Head RTU shall be certified by the TUV and shall be
located in a safe area – i.e. within an Auxiliary Equipment Room (AER).
Under critical emergency conditions, it must be possible to trip all the power
generation systems.
The WellHead RTU shall interface with the patch panel containing the fiber optic
multiplexer/de-multiplexer electronics.
In addition all ‘field’ signals shall be connected to the RTU via hardwired circuits.
The RTU shall incorporate galvanic isolation as required.
The pipeline LBV's shall be connected to RTU's where their status can be
monitored from control room & shut down signals can close the LBV's remotely.
The power supply of RTU's shall be via solar cells where electrical supply is not
available.
All CCTV equipment shall be 230V AC powered from UPS. The field cameras and
camera assembly shall receive power individually from the nearest building through
its own composite cable
Because of the various sources of power used to power all of the cameras, careful
consideration must be given to the system synchronization during the detailed
design phase
All cables shall be flame retardant to IEC 60332-Part 3 Cat “A”.
Above ground external cables shall run into telecommunications or instrumentation
cable trays.
When installed underground they shall be directly buried in trench.
At least 1m Segregation from power cables shall be allowed wherever possible.
Cable entrance to the building shall be via protective pipe up to the specified box
Inside the building.
Internal distribution network shall utilize embedded or exposed conduits clamped to
the wall, according to the type of installation and material used for the realization of
electrical installation in the same point.
The conduit layout shall be arranged to ensure that each conduit contains no more
than 5 user's cables.
The conduit route shall have bends as less as possible and in case of conduit
straight length exceeds 20m, intermediate-pulling boxes shall be provided.
Structured cabling for voice and data distribution shall be used in all buildings
especially in the Control Building and the Telecom Equipment Room.
Voice and data circuits shall conform to the TIA/EIA-568-B standard. CAT-6 or the
latest structured
Cabling standard at the time of implementation shall be employed.
The details have been described in the technical specification for the Industrial
Ethernet Switches and Wide Area Network.
Suitable cable type composite cable shall be considered.
Systems shall be supplied with monitors with mounting brackets suitable for
installing the
monitors on a wall or suspended from a ceiling.
communications between extensions and their connection to Plant telephone systems and
the TCI public network.
7.4.1 PABX
The IP PABX Telephone System shall provide voice communication facilities for
managing,
operation and support of the whole Plant. This IP PABX system shall allow
communication
between extensions and their connection to plant telephone systems and other
public network.
The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of
the necessary hardware and software to provide the SOHRAB WELL HEAD NO.1 FLOW LINE TO
SOUTH AZADEGAN NORTH CLUSTER Plant with a Telephone System which shall include but
not be limited to the following items of equipment:
Outdoor telephones (installed aboveground) - solid copper wire 0.8 mm diameter, PVC- or
PE-insulated, jelly field type, 4-wire-twisted, static screened (polyester Tape, Tinned
copper, AL, polyester Tape, PVC sheath Type, TM1, YM1) , steel wire armoured and
overall PVC-sheathed.
Indoor telephones and branch circuits outdoors - solid copper wire 0.6 mm diameter, PVC-
or PE-insulated, jelly field type, 4-wire-twisted, static screened (polyester Tape, Tinned
copper, AL, polyester Tape, PVC sheath Type, TM1, YM1) and overall PVC-sheathed.
Core marking shall be made in order to distinguish twisted pairs.
Contractor shall terminate the 24 core armored, single mode fiber optic cable, at each
node. Also the termination panels for fiber optic cable termination at each wellhead, block
valves should be provided. This termination shall be done by means of appropriate Optical
Cable Distribution Frames (OCDF).
In order to joint the fiber cores in the distances with more length than the normal fiber
length Fiber Optic Closure (Joint Boxes) shall be used. These joint closures shall be able
to splice all the 24 cable cores of each cable.
This cable shall be used for all fiber optic cable runs in plant. It shall be suitable for direct
burial or for use in cable ducts/trays.
All fibers in the cable shall be from one manufacturer for cable protection against water
ingress during storage and installation, both side of each cable piece should be sealed by
suitable heat shrinkable end cap.
